A Surprising Way to Reduce Stress & Improve Resiliency

Improve your ability to manage stress under pressure by helping others.

In this video I discuss the counter-intuitive idea that helping others can help you better manage stress and offer a great approach to helping others so that it helps you as well.

Want to Strengthen Relationships? Play.

Andy Core is an expert in Work-Life Balance, Wellbeing, and Peak Human Performance. One of the best ways to keep your relationships fresh and vivacious is by taking out time to ‘play’. Playing collectively with your friends, family or partner can bring you and those involved immense joy, give you all a great boost of energy and will help you to develop deeper, more intimate relationships.

Apart from that, play has the ability to heal emotional wounds and eradicate differences previously existent between people. It creates a feeling of security and develops our trust in others. Additionally, play teaches us a bit about teamwork as well, as when playing we learn to work together and cooperate with each other as a team.

Moreover, through play we are able to refine other skills such as verbalization, social skills and body language. Plus we learn to follow rules, as at the beginning of every game, teams usually set a set of rules that are agreed upon mutually. It’s not only children that should benefit from all the advantages that playing has to offer; rather adults need to incorporate play into their daily lives as well. Reason behind it is that, irrespective of what age group one belongs to, play has been shown to improve one’s mental, emotional and physical health.

Increasing Productivity in the Workplace with a Company Retreat

There is a vital role played by rest in your productivity in the workplace. A company retreat will leave employees feeling invigorated and ready to work.

Andy Core is an expert in Work-Life Balance, Well Being, and Peak Human Performance.

Take a Break

From time to time, to increase productivity in the workplace it’s nice to take a break in the form of a company retreat. Working can become boring and monotonous and it’s always a good idea to have a retreat occasionally for the employees. This can be done once in four months and can be for about three days depending on the company.

Organize Retreats

On retreats, employees can relax and get to know each other on a more personal level. This will strengthen the work relationships and ignite a new atmosphere when back at work. Employees can also develop strengthened relationships with their employers, as well. This will increase their productivity in the workplace.

Deciding on the right place to go is essential. It needs to be a place where everyone feels relaxed. It’s recommended to go to a place where there is nature and a lot of fresh air. It’s good to ask the employees where they would like to go to take a break. During the break, it’s good to play team-building games. These are great ways of helping employees work together in a fun environment. When they go back to the working environment, they can reflect on how well they worked together.

Taking employees on retreat is very good at increasing productivity in the workplace as it encourages teamwork and cooperation.

Teamwork Can Help You Accomplish Greatness

Teamwork can help you accomplish greatness

Teamwork can help you accomplish greatness

Any fan of team sports can tell you that a team is only as strong as its weakest link. The starters won’t often be able to follow through with a win if they don’t have the help of their back-up players. Pitchers are leaders on the baseball field, but even pitchers are routinely switched in the middle of a game.

Being part of a team means giving your all, even when you won’t be the only one who gets the credit for successes. You must work together in order to win, so you must do your best, and be willing to help out your teammates along the way.

The teamwork mentality is not only useful when playing a team sport. Teamwork is also useful to apply to other aspects of life. Working together on your home, your family, and your projects at work, just to name a few things, can be much easier than trying to accomplish things all on your own.

As a team member, you can’t expect to get all the glory when the time to celebrate arises, but you can share the joy with your fellow teammates. Sometimes the comradery can be just as rewarding as individual pride.

Four Reasons Why Professional Speaker Urges You to Be Friendly at Work

Andy Core is an expert in Work-Life Balance, Well Being and Peak Human Performance.

A professional speaker says that a friendly workplace is a fun and effective workplace.

A professional speaker says that a friendly workplace is a fun and effective workplace.

A professional speaker believes that it is extremely beneficial for employees, especially those on the same team, to become friends with each other. A good, friendly rapport with your co-workers, and even your superiors, is always a huge bonus in your professional life. Here are a few reasons why:

It helps keep morale up in your workplace. Work shouldn’t be all about work. It’s also a place where you can expand your social circle. Don’t be afraid to mingle with your co-workers at the water cooler. Not only will it help you make and keep friends, this keeps everyone’s moods up even if everyone is under heavy stress.

It makes sure everyone on the team is on the same page. A professional speaker adds that if you, your team and your superior are friendly with each other, team meetings will go much smoother. It is easier to talk openly and share your ideas about how to tackle certain tasks if you know that everyone’s ideas are listened to.

It promotes good teamwork. Friends are more likely to work well with each other than just acquaintances are, and with any team effort, teamwork is the key.

It makes work fun. School was fun because you and your friends hung out. The office is no different. Be friends with everyone you work with, and motivating yourself to go to work shouldn’t be a chore anymore.

We didn’t learn to make friends in school, just to forget about them once we graduate. No man is an island, and you can’t expect to grow up in your professional life without making friends. Therefore, being friendly while at work is top advice by professional speakers.
