Emotional intelligence is when you are able to recognize, comprehend, utilize, and manage emotions in order to articulate your feelings, beat difficulties and alleviate stress. Emotional intellect effects and influences the way we act around people and how we interact with them.
Additionally, emotional intelligence can be broken down into four categories self-awareness, social awareness, self-management and relationship-management. Briefly speaking, self-awareness is when you are able to identify who you really- what are your strengths and your weaknesses. Self-management is when you are able to control your feelings in a productive way. Social awareness is when one possesses the art of interacting with people comfortably without panicking. Lastly, relationship management is when one is able to build and sustain healthy relationships.
An individual who is gifted and is extremely emotionally intelligent is not only able to identify his own emotions but is also able to identify how others are feeling or what emotional phase they are going through. Moreover, emotional intelligence acts a magnet which allows you to interact with people in a way that attracts and pulls people towards you. So you can say that someone who possesses emotional intellect is able to relate to others in a more profound and better way and due this individual is able to build better relationships, attain better success at work and live a more gratifying life.
