follow your heart

When something feels right, it probably is. Conversely, if something feels too good to be true, you would likely be best to run the other way.  Most people have some level of intuition, and eventually you need to learn to trust your instincts.

Of course, before making important decisions, you should always weigh your options and make as informed of a choice as possible. But once you’ve narrowed down the playing field, the choice you make often comes down to doing what your gut tells you.

At that point, it could be a huge mistake to let someone else’s uninformed opinion influence you. Although you should always consider a spouse’s point of view before doing something drastic, you probably know in your heart what’s right, and you have to remain true to yourself. If your spouse has the opposite feeling, discuss it further before acting. Going against either of your better judgments will more often than not result in regrets.

Trusting your instincts will usually help you to make the proper decisions in every part of your life. If you look deep within yourself, you know whether or not you can afford something you want, or whether you should end a relationship. Personally and professionally, your instincts will often lead you down the right path.
