Increasing productivity in the workplace is essential in building a good corporation. According to studies, it has been found that only 23 percent of employees are motivated, enthusiastic and energized at work. However, there are things that bosses and supervisors can do to increase the number.
How You Address Employees Is Important
When you enter the workplace, it’s important to greet employees in a polite manner. This makes them feel more human and appreciated. Saying a simple ‘please’ and ‘thank you’ may seem to be small gestures, but they mean a lot.
Give Credit Where it is Due
Give credit to your employees where it’s due. If you see one of your employees excelling and putting in a lot of effort, make sure you recognize it. This is important because it will make them feel more appreciated and will motivate them, and possibly others to create more productivity in the workplace. Encourage the employees to have fun in the office once in a while. This could be done by taking a break with your employees to a place where they can relax and not think about work. This will lighten the atmosphere at work.
Learn how to communicate well with your employees. They need to know exactly what is expected of them as far as goals at work are concerned. Following these few steps can help to increase productivity in the workplace.
