Andy Core is an expert in Work-Life Balance, Wellbeing and Peak Human Performance.

Andy Core, a renowned business motivational speaker, guides you to being productive but not to the point where you become a workaholic.

Being a workaholic is not really a negative attitude as it pushes you upward to reaching your goals. However, in some aspects, it may lead to negativities, especially if it has enveloped your being.

Committing yourself to the career path you have chosen is definitely a great attitude business owners are seeking from their employees. Positive impressions and feedback will most certainly follow. Unfortunately, it brings in various downsides. A business motivational speaker points out some of the probable signs that you are a workaholic.

  • Lack of a social life. You do not go out with your friends anymore simply because you still need to go to work the next day and that you have so many things to accomplish.
  • No time for a love life. Okay, this may really be an issue. Hey! You need to have someone to share your successes and sorrows.
  • Stress and illness. Because of the imbalances in your life, some things are taken for granted, and one of the most forgotten often is your health.

No matter how competitive you are, there is still a possibility that you fail to keep a work-life balance, which is essential for you to have a healthy body and a happy lifestyle. There is nothing wrong in working hard, just make sure that you do not spend all your hours accomplishing something on the industry you have chosen. Learn how to balance your life and your work. Working To Achieve Work-Life Balance

The Chinese philosopher Laozi said,  “a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” Even the longest and most difficult ventures have a starting point. If you never start a journey, you will never finish it.

In order for you to improve your overall health, you must strive to balance your work, family and self. You do not have to pick just two

not have to pick just two

After trade school when I first entered the workforce, I was assigned to a mentor who was much older than I was. My mentor, Vic taught me many things; one of the best things that he taught me was how to balance my career with my home life.

After a while, Vic took me to see a few guys who had had very successful careers but had destroyed their home lives. In their twilight years, these poor guys were miserable, alone and certainly not living a healthy lifestyle.

I have never had the opportunity to attend one of Andy Core’s motivational presentations. I suppose Andy’s suggestions are remarkably similar to what my mentor Vic taught me many years ago.

You can achieve work-life balance. Andy Core can show you how all it takes is the first step.

All Work and No Play Makes a Dull Boy

Your mind and body require and deserve regular breaks to rejuvenate

Your mind and body require and deserve
regular breaks to rejuvenate

The old adage about all work and no play is so true. If you put all your effort into working and forget to have fun, you will likely bore yourself and those around you. And you will probably get so burnt out that you won’t be able to keep up with the work either.

It often seems the happiest among us are those who live by the rule of work hard and play harder. Making time for family, friends, and hobbies and activities you enjoy is essential, not only so that you can live a fulfilling life, but also so that you can be your best at work as well.

You should not define yourself by your career. Even if you love your job, human beings were not designed to live a life totally devoid of fun.

Working too many hours, and neglecting the other side of your personality, can be devastating to your mind, body, and soul, not to mention your relationships.  If you find yourself working too hard, take a step back reevaluate what’s important, and try to achieve a more suitable balance in your life.

Paying attention to your needs and desires outside of work will likely help you to be more successful at your job as well.
