If You Believe, You will Achieve Your Dreams

Andy Core is an expert in Work-Life Balance, Wellbeing, and Peak Human Performance.

I just read a story about at 22 year old who lost 220 pounds. Before he started he was 435 pounds and now he’s got an inspirational story and a whole new perspective on life. He no longer feels self conscious about his appearance, he chooses to see the positive in everything, and he gives others advice when they want to change their life.

How did he do it?

“I did it with motivation, hard work and willpower.”

And in reality, that’s all any of us need to achieve our goals. If we believe that we can achieve something, and we make progress towards that goal on a DAILY basis, we can do anything. Seriously All you have to do is change how you act during each day, and soon your life will change with it.

People do great things every day, and if you want them to happen for you, you should just get out and make them happen.

Believe and then achieve

Making Mistakes is Better than Doing Nothing

Even if you’re not achieving as quickly as you’d like, making an attempt will get you further than being afraid to try

Even if you’re not achieving as quickly as
you’d like, making an attempt will get
you further than being afraid to try

No matter what you do, doing something will most likely get you farther than doing nothing at all. Successful people get to be successful through action. When you’re working hard, you will likely make a lot of mistakes, but you will also achieve much more.

You can’t be afraid to take chances and do your best. Sometimes even your best efforts may fall short, but remember that you’re gaining experience. With that added experience and the knowledge you gain along the way, the next time may be the time you achieve what you were trying for.

You will gain nothing by sitting around waiting for happiness to come your way. You must get out and work at it, whether you’re trying for a relationship or a job promotion, or something else you hope to accomplish in your life.

It’s always preferable to make a strong effort and make an error, than it is to do nothing. Any strides you make, no matter how slow your progress, will take you further than never trying to take a step. So get out and do your best, even if you know you may mess up.

If at First You Don’t Succeed …

Andy Core is an expert in Work-Life Balance, Wellbeing, and Peak Human Performance.

If your hopes and dreams don’t all come true on the first try, your next course of action is simple. Try again. And keep on trying until you succeed. The best things in life often don’t come easily. They may take a lot of effort to get, but they’re worth it in the end.

Most of the time, things that happen quickly and easily aren’t the important things in life. Building a strong marriage is always a work in progress. Making yourself a solid career will take years of hard work and dedication.

Don’t let setbacks get you down. Keep working hard until you reach your goals.

Don’t let setbacks get
you down. Keep working hard
until you reach your goals.

If you know where you want to go in life, you have to constantly strive toward the direction of your goals. There will be trials and tribulations along the way, and you have to accept the bad with the good. Just don’t let the bad make you give up.

If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again. These are words of wisdom that are not always easy to live by, but if you follow that advice, you will eventually achieve success on some level. Things may not work out exactly as planned, but if you don’t keep putting forth great effort in life, you will not get much in return.

All Work and No Play Makes a Dull Boy

Your mind and body require and deserve regular breaks to rejuvenate

Your mind and body require and deserve
regular breaks to rejuvenate

The old adage about all work and no play is so true. If you put all your effort into working and forget to have fun, you will likely bore yourself and those around you. And you will probably get so burnt out that you won’t be able to keep up with the work either.

It often seems the happiest among us are those who live by the rule of work hard and play harder. Making time for family, friends, and hobbies and activities you enjoy is essential, not only so that you can live a fulfilling life, but also so that you can be your best at work as well.

You should not define yourself by your career. Even if you love your job, human beings were not designed to live a life totally devoid of fun.

Working too many hours, and neglecting the other side of your personality, can be devastating to your mind, body, and soul, not to mention your relationships.  If you find yourself working too hard, take a step back reevaluate what’s important, and try to achieve a more suitable balance in your life.

Paying attention to your needs and desires outside of work will likely help you to be more successful at your job as well.
