Take Advantage of Your Strengths

Learn what your strengths are

Learn what your strengths are

Andy Core is an expert in Work-Life Balance, Wellbeing, and Peak Human Performance.

We all have our own innate strengths. Some strength you may only discover in times of crisis. Other strengths you discover as you progress through life and pay attention to your skills.

You never know what you can achieve through your strengths and how you may actually help other people unless you apply them. The key is to stay focused on your goals and ignore the negativity of others. This is, of course, assuming you have goals. Not to be negative, but many people struggle to do what is required of them on a daily basis, much less dream bigger. Many may be overwhelmed with negativity and not even believe they can get better. If this is the case, read this.

Once you’ve changed your perspective and decided your goals (potentially the most important step), you can move onto applying your strengths and passions on a daily basis.

As a professional speaker, I work to motivate my audience through positive advice as well as the encouragement that anyone can improve their life. I didn’t start out this way. I was once a student wondering what to do with me life. It wasn’t until later that I realized what I loved to do- help others help themselves.

You will get much more satisfaction out of your work if you’re able to do something you are good at and actually enjoy doing. I know this might seem far fetched, but if you support your skills with a positive perspective, the right job will come to you.  At the same time, remember that everything takes work. Very few of us will just be that good at something without training. You may have an innate skill within you, but you still have to train it. This takes intention, consistency and passion. The right job isn’t going to fall in your lap, you have to develop your skills on a regular basis and put yourself into the world with the belief that something good will work.

As you develop your skills, you will grow confident and motivated at work.  and soon you will feel good in other areas of your life too. The secret to work life balance is simple once you get to this step because if you’ve successfully integrated your passions and strengths with your work, your life will be ideal. More on the logistics of this later.

Finding Your Dream Job

Andy Core is an expert in Work-Life Balance, Well Being, and Peak Human Performance.

It’s not always easy to remain motivated at work, even when you are doing something you love. When you are doing a job you don’t like, it is even harder to get yourself through every day at work. We all have a dream job that we would love to do but very few of us actually get there. For most of us, it is better to learn to love whatever we do.

Finding your dream job may seem like an impossibility. It may feel far away or even unknown. As a motivational speaker, my advice is to follow what makes you happy. It’s cliche, but it’s honestly the best way to determine what you should do. If something in your life is making you unhappy, then that something needs to change. This is often as simple as your perspective.

Choosing a career can be difficult and from the beginning you should try aim for something you will enjoy and love. For instance, if you like helping the sick, the medical profession might be for you. If you like guiding children, the teaching profession might be for you.

We all have to make a living and it is not always possible to land that dream job. Sometimes you will have to do jobs that don’t appeal to you just to make it. Don’t become despondent if that happens to you. The best way to find this ideal is to keep a good attitude and believe it will happen.

Never give up on your dreams. Persevere and learn to love whatever you do and eventually you will reach your dreams.

How Emotional Intelligence And Professional Success Are Related!

Emotional Intelligence or EQ is directly related to social ineptness!

Emotional Intelligence or EQ
is directly related to social ineptness!

It is a known and proven fact that it’s not the book-smart or academically smart people that are the most triumphant in life. You have probably come across people who excelled in academics but were completely incompetent at the social front. These individuals usually don’t get to enjoy as much success in their professional life and their personal life as individuals who are socially competent.

Social ineptness is directly related to emotional intelligence or EQ. While being academically smart can only get you so far, it is rather emotional intelligence that will help you to excel and exceed at work and your personal life.

Individuals that encompass emotionally intelligence are able to steer through the social environment of the workplace without much hesitation. Furthermore, their emotional intelligence helps them form better connections with their colleagues where they are able to motivate and lead them competently and skillfully.

Hence compared to other individuals, emotionally intellectual individuals tend to prosper and excel in their careers swiftly and easily. What’s more is that these days when multinational companies are looking to hire employees, they consider emotional intellect to be as important as technical skills and often test their candidates by making them to take a EQ test.
