The Art of Interaction and Communication with People

Words convey our thoughts and emotions, and without them, we would be lost.

The interaction and communication with people is something we do everyday. Whether it is in the form of public speaking in front of an audience, or casual conversing with acquaintances, you always want to convey your message loud and clear, be motivational and inspiring, and leave a vivid impression.

While communication skills such as strong eye contact, good posture, vocal varieties and body gestures are significant, just as critical is the ability to be a good listener. In order to fully interact and absorb what others have to offer, we must learn to be able to listen and not simply speak and voice our ideas all the time.

Being a good listener is an art, and knowing when to stop speaking and paying attention when others have valuable information to offer is a difficult skill we must master. Being able to show support, listen carefully and give constructive feedback will facilitate a smooth exchange of ideas and opinions, and will, in the long term, greatly improve our networking skills and efficiency in all walks of life.

Your Social Life and Your Overall Health

“Andy Core is an expert in Work-Life Balance, Personal Wellbeing and Peak Human Performance.”

Have you ever wondered how some people have such a great social life? How they go to exciting places and meet new people almost every day? You may want to do the same but you don’t know how, and you’re scared to even try.  Here are a few tips that you could use in your real life situations.

1)     Stand up straight and smile!  Avoid looking unapproachable.

2)     Practice conversations with yourself in a mirror, talk more with people that you know, or simply think of things to say in advance of any social opportunity. By doing this you can avoid putting yourself in embarrassing situations where you just don’t know what to say.

The key to having a great social life is being creative and outgoing and work on building your confidence and self-esteem.

and self-esteem.

Start talking to more people in general everywhere you go.  Meeting more people means you will have more opportunities for social interaction overall. You will gain more confidence in yourself and people will have a different impression of you.  However, do  be careful not to overdo it because projecting too much confidence can be seen as being too cocky, and many people will not like that and may try to avoid you.
