Never Let Fear Paralyze You

Andy Core is an expert in Work-Life Balance, Wellbeing, and Peak Human Performance.home aloneWe all have our fears. It can be intimidating to move out of and try something new. Sometimes doubt and fear can even affect us when we are doing things we have done many times before.

You cannot allow fear stop you from leaving your comfort zone achieving something new. You will always have fears of some kind but you have to learn how to deal with them in order to be successful. If you don’t overcome your fears, you will have to live with regrets which will last longer and affect you more than the failure did. As a motivational speaker, here is my advice.

Just do it.

Sure, you may completely mess something up, but so what? Failure is part of the process and if you never fail, then you haven’t done much. It’s much more scary to be boring then it is to be human and potentially mess up.

Believe that You will Succeed.

That being said, don’t assume that you’re going to fail. Put you’re full energy and intention to whatever your goal is and believe that you’ll get there. Remember when you were in highschool or college and believed that anything was possible? Channel that energy now and let that positive energy motivate you to work hard to make it happen.

Find a Partner in Crime.

Success needs a support system. Find a person who will believe in you when you’re discouraged. It could be your boss or it could be your sibling. Whoever it is, verbalize your goals with that person and keep them updated. They’ll be a big part of your success.

Everyone gets scared, but don’t wait until the situation is perfect before you move or you never will. All we have is now. Make it count.

Practice Moderation in All Things

Find the right balance, and enjoy everything in moderation.

Find the right balance, and enjoy
everything in moderation.

They say that too much of a good thing isn’t good after all. This is true of most everything in life. People aren’t perfect, and you will make mistakes, but the best advice you can follow may be to practice moderation in all things.

Food is wonderful, and necessary to live. However, too much food will make you overweight and unhealthy. Likewise, too little food will leave you malnourished and overly thin.

Starving yourself, or depriving yourself of the foods you love the most may result in going on a harmful eating binge. So allow yourself a small slice of cake, and just don’t let it tempt you into eating the whole thing. Eat a handful of chips, if that’s your guilty pleasure, but save the rest of the bag for a friend, or at least for another day.

Sleep is another wonderful thing that must be used in moderation. Either too much or too little could be harmful to your health, so you must make sure you get the rest you need without going overboard.

You can apply this advice to almost any aspect of life. Balance your levels of work and fun, of exercise and rest, of work and family, of fun and seriousness, and you will do well.
