painful sensation in the legs!

Restless leg syndrome also short for RLS is one feels a tingling, itching, burning or creeping sensations in their legs. The symptoms usually vary to a certain degree in each individual and can be caused by stress or during bedtime. Some of the major signs and symptoms of RLS:

Feeling a peculiar discomfort in your legs

In RLS one feels a prickly or painful sensation that usually originates from the core of the legs.  Also the feeling is often compounded with an overwhelming urge to move the legs. Individuals suffering from RLS portray the feeling as something crawling up and down the core of their legs.

When you try resting the symptoms get worse

Commonly pain in the legs is usually caused by exertion and can be tamed by resting. Though in the case of RLS, the opposite is true. Restless leg symptoms deteriorate when one tries to rest or sit.

RLS symptoms usually get worse at night

Restless leg syndrome generally gets worse during the nights especially when one tries to sleep. In some cases the symptoms might even be triggered during day time, though that is quite rare. Moreover, several individuals with RLS also suffer from periodic limb movement disorder (PLMD), a sleep disorder that entails recurring cramping  of the legs during bedtime.
