Every person is equipped with the power to bring change. If you believe something will happen, be it positive or negative, it will happen. This power is known as intention. It’s a choice and we all control that choice with our attitude.

It all boils down to how you think. Scientists have proven that our minds get into a habit of producing thoughts with a certain mindset. If you usually see life through a negative lens, the chemical produced will be familiar to your brain. The same is true with positve thought.

This perspective will create a chain reaction that starts with the emotions we store and generate on a daily basis.If we learn to nurture the good feelings and discard the negative, then our energy will attract positive energy from others. A smile does wonders to create a better day, a better reaction, and a better life.

Being positive can only lead to good things in your life. Don’t accept defeat and never let negativity stand in your way. Don’t even let it effect your thoughts. Obviously this can be difficult at times. But if you are able to welcome the challenges that face you and take pride in what you have achieved, it will motivate you and energize you to continue this flow of good energy.

Only you can decide what your attitude will be. If you make the daily choice to have a positive attitude your positivity will rub off onto others and begin to change the world. Literally, your attitude and belief can change the world.

At times the world can look like a scary place. Every day the media is full of nothing but bad news and it only seems to get worse. The truth is that there are a lot of bad things going on but, there are a lot good things happening too and they are what you should focus on.

Good things will come to you if you work for them. If you are passive and put no effort into your life, things will just happen to you, and you will have no control over whether they are good or bad. You should always have a dream to follow. If you have the right attitude, you are capable of achieving anything you want. No matter how bad things in the world may look, there are still people out there who are achieving their dreams. Determination and perseverance will enable you to reach your dreams. Reflect on how you interact with the world. For instance, when someone asks you how you are doing, do you automatically react with a positive or a negative answer? When you are by yourself in the rare quiet moments of your day, do you start thinking about how stressed and unhappy you are, or do you focus on what’s good in your life and say a quiet thank you. When your face is at rest, is your brow furrowed and your jaw clenched or is your expression peaceful with the hint of a smile? When you dream, are you fighting, running and fearful, or are you exploring, experiencing and inventing?

In life there are always going to be negative situations you have to face. Be it a personal habit, a work situation, a family emergency or just the general feeling of being overwhelmed. But rather than becoming a negative person from these negative situations, it’s best to learn how to handle them in the best way while still managing to stay positive.

The best advice is to define your day based on what you do and how you reacted rather than by what someone else did or said to you. Because in the end, the only thing you can attempt to control in life is your reaction. All other factors are outside of your grasp.

Its also important to remember that what we say and believe usually ends up being the true. Your thoughts, whether positive or negative, end up fulfilling themselves. And our brains can be trained to form a certain perspective. If you consistently see life through a negative lens, that’s what you’ll continue to see and viceversa. So as Cat Stevens says, “And if you want to live high, live high. And if you want to live low, live low.”

Maintaining a positive reaction throughout your day requires you to focus on the positive things in life. Life will improve as your thinking improves. If you have no real problems, but you’ve trained yourself to think negatively about life, then you’ll be less happy than a person with real problems and a good attitude.
