Gain Wisdom Through Experience and Knowledge

from every experience you have

One of the major things that set humans apart from animals is the ability to learn from mistakes. Although some find it easier than others, people are able to reason and think through their actions before they commit to them.

Therefore, it is important to utilize these abilities. You should think about what’s going to happen before you make the same mistake repeatedly. And you should be reasonable in predicting the outcome of your next endeavor.

Even with all the thinking and reasoning in the world, you will still make mistakes. You will probably make fewer mistakes if you act rationally, but you will mess up from time to time no matter what. That’s okay, and you should be able to handle it through learning from those errors.

You should try to take away some bit of wisdom from every experience, whether it is good or bad. Learn what to do differently after a mistake, but also figure out what you need to do the same when you succeed. Life isn’t all a guessing game. You need to be able to get smarter and act more responsibly as time goes on.

Making Mistakes is Better than Doing Nothing

you further than being afraid to try

No matter what you do, doing something will most likely get you farther than doing nothing at all. Successful people get to be successful through action. When you’re working hard, you will likely make a lot of mistakes, but you will also achieve much more.

You can’t be afraid to take chances and do your best. Sometimes even your best efforts may fall short, but remember that you’re gaining experience. With that added experience and the knowledge you gain along the way, the next time may be the time you achieve what you were trying for.

You will gain nothing by sitting around waiting for happiness to come your way. You must get out and work at it, whether you’re trying for a relationship or a job promotion, or something else you hope to accomplish in your life.

It’s always preferable to make a strong effort and make an error, than it is to do nothing. Any strides you make, no matter how slow your progress, will take you further than never trying to take a step. So get out and do your best, even if you know you may mess up.

Everybody Makes Mistakes—Don’t Hide From Yours

Andy Core is an expert in Work-Life Balance, Wellbeing, and Peak Human Performance.

The biggest mistake you can ever make is being too afraid to make one. If you don’t put yourself out there, maybe you won’t mess up, but you also will never make much progress. The safest way isn’t always the best way.
Everyone makes mistakes, so there’s no shame in errors. The shame would be in not even trying. Whether it is your work or your relationships, you have to give it your all. Going halfway with your efforts will only result in half the success.

Don’t hide your talents because you’re afraid of making mistakes.

The only way to make it to where you want to be in life is through hard work and self-motivation. Don’t ever be afraid to do something just because you think you might fail. Regrets feel far worse than falling short of your goals.
And chances are, if you put in a great effort, then even if you do make mistakes, you can learn from them and do better next time. It may take many attempts, but eventually you will find success. Perfection is simply impossible, so don’t be so hard on yourself. Give yourself a chance, and you just might surprise yourself, and everyone else, with your abilities.

Never Let a Lesson Go Unlearned

Every time something bad happens because of a mistake you’ve made, don’t look at it as the end of the world. Instead, embrace it as a chance to learn how to do better next time. It can be hard to focus on the good in a horrible situation, but as long as you can take away something helpful, then it wasn’t a total loss.

Learning doesn’t stop when you get out of school.

People make mistakes. It’s only natural. The important thing is that you don’t keep making the same mistakes over and over. Human beings should never shut off their minds to learning lessons. Life is all about growing and changing as you go along.

So when you’ve made a mistake, own up to it, and fix it if you can. If you can’t fix it, at least make sure you analyze the situation, and don’t make the same mistake next time. Continue to learn, throughout your life, and keep improving yourself.

You will never be perfect, but as long as you keep trying to be the best person you can be, you will not be a failure. Sometimes the lesson you learn will be hard to swallow, but you have to accept it and try to keep your head held high. Things will get better.

Learn From Your Mistakes: Get On With Life

To err is human. If you make a mistake, try to fix it, and then get on with your life

and then get on with your life

Everybody makes mistakes. It’s a normal part of life. You can’t let mistakes stop your progress, and sometimes the only thing you can do is move on. Before moving on, however, you should think things over and make sure you learn from the errors you have made.

Certain mistakes will be painfully obvious and the fallout will happen immediately. Other mistakes may be more subtle, and it may take weeks, months, or even years before you realize you had made a mistake.

Mistakes can also be repeated several times over before you realize they are wrong. What you must do, and what is often the hardest part of life, is to stop making the mistake as soon as you realize you’ve done something wrong. And then you must do your best to avoid making the same mistake again.

If you feel guilty, don’t dwell on it. Just figure out the best way to correct the things you’ve done wrong, and if you can’t fix it, try to work around it. Eventually, when the appropriate amount of time has passed, you should be able to look back and know that you are now a better person.
