The face of psychology involves much more than interpreting Rorschach ink blot tests.

The face of psychology involves much more than interpreting Rorschach ink-blot tests.

Before you dismiss psychology and mental health as quackery, take time to read this article that says mental health is just as important as physical health. Moreover, with leadership speakers now more than ever implementing some form of corporate wellness program at their workplaces, Andy Core gives three reasons why your office should have a psychologist on hand.

  1. Your brain is just as important as your body. It’s one thing to exercise and maintain good physical fitness, but what tells the body when, where and how to move? Don’t forget to neglect your brain when it comes to corporate wellness.
  2. Talking to a mental health care professional can help fend off problems that are more serious. As heavy as your workload may be right now, successful leadership speakers know that it’s infinitely easier to handle when you’re not also balancing subprime mental health.
  3. It can save costs long-term. As much money as a psychologist will set you back now, it would be nothing compared to the amount of man hours lost to your employees taking days or even weeks of sick-time off. Hiring a psychologist is a smart buy when it comes to prevention.

Leadership speakers, don’t make the mistake that your peers do in not recognizing the importance of strong mental health when it comes to planning corporate wellness.

conditions

Plant-based foods are high in fiber, nutritional value and are very low in fat. The nutritional profile they encompass helps to enhance your mental, physical and organ health. These nutrients also aid in strengthening your immune system and help your body fight off various health conditions.

The best diet for preventing or fighting any of the serious diseases or conditions, is one which includes a high quantity of plant-based foods such as vegetables, fruits, whole grains, nuts, beans and legumes.  To truly benefit from these food sources, we need to eat them in their natural unprocessed form instead of the refined renditions that are found in most of the processed or packaged foods these days.

You can easily add many of the plant-based foods to your diets daily. Nutritionists advocate that we should aim to include at least 3-5 servings of fruit, 3 servings of vegetables and 2 servings of whole grains each day. As for non-plant foods, such as dairy and animal meat, dieticians suggest that they should form only 1/3 part of our diet. So bear in mind that you don’t need to become a complete vegetarian to avail the benefits that plant based foods have to offer.
