Two Excuses Keeping You From Changing Your Career

Trying to bring about a huge change in your life can be extremely challenging. Trying to switch or change your career might seem like a daunting and impossible task. The following are a few things you might be saying to make an excuse and why you should ignore it.

It’s too late and you’d rather just stick to your old job: If you have been working for the same company for a while now, it might be difficult for you to consider leaving them. You might feel that you have put in too much time and effort to get to this point and a change in career won’t ever be worth your while. What you aren’t considering is that the more time you have invested in the current job, the more skills you must have acquired. This can lead to a smooth transition to another career where you’ll be able to use the same set of skills and then continue learning. In addition, plateauing in a job and losing your drive to be creative is a dangerous position. If you aren’t learning, you’re not thriving, and if you’re not thriving, you’re not fulfilling your ideal. So if you’re scared or bored, that is all the more reason to accept new opportunities or to seek them out. You have one life. Live it.

You don’t possess the skill-set for a new career: Most individuals usually are unaware of the range of skills they already possess as they suffer from a low self-esteem, causing them to undervalue their own marketability. Take into account skills you’ve gained not only from your previous job but also from your hobbies and your life experiences. Also, remember when you began the job you have now. Did you know everything you needed to know? Were you, “drinking from a fire hydrant?” Did you doubt that you’d be able to succeed? Did you feel overwhelmed? You most likely answered yes to at least one of these questions. That is normal. You should feel a bit intimidated when you begin a new experience. Just give yourself time, work hard and focus on the good things that you have.

Hence blogging can be an extremely therapeutic and cathartic exercise which will allow you to express yourself freely, without any fear of intimidation.

Furthermore, psychoanalyst state that in some cases maintaining a personal blog had more of a positive impact on a distressed students’ welfare than them simply marinating a personal diary. Additionally it was also seen that when students allowed their blog to be commented on by the internet community, they were able to connect and socialize with others with greater ease.

A Professional Speaker on Low Self-Esteem

Self-Esteem

Implementing the tips of a professional speaker can lead you to having more confidence in yourself.

Andy Core is an expert in Work-Life Balance, Wellbeing and Peak Human Performance.

A professional speaker will tell you that lack of self-esteem can limit a person’s actions that are essential to become successful. With low self-esteem, almost nothing can be attained as the person thinks negatively, believing that he may not be able to do a job well because of lack of skills. Having such an outlook, where negativity has enveloped a being, a quality lifestyle design must be executed.

In order for a person to uplift his low self-esteem, he must develop a brighter outlook in life by inviting positive vibes. Avoid negativity, as these will tend to bring your mood down. Have enough trust on your capabilities in order for you to be able to work well, and be able to apply all your necessary skills in your chosen field.

Focus on what will be attained rather than what will not. Though not losing anything is like playing safe, it will also keep you inside your comfort zone without proving anything to the people around you. Though there is a big chance of losing a fight, at least you have tried to attain what you have wanted. With such drive, it will also help you to surpass the challenges that knock your door. Your self-esteem is the core of your being. Without it, everything can break down into pieces. Practice at being self-confident and before you know it, you will be.
