There are many examples of people achieving fame and success late in life. Poet, Walt Whitman, painter, Grandma Moses,  Academy award winning actor, F. Murray Abraham, famous cook, Julia Child, and comic book artist, Stan Lee, are all excellent  examples of influential people who didn’t fulfill their destiny until late in life.

Regardless of age, these people followed their passions and eventually became some of the most famous people in their field. These  were normal people who continued to improve who they were and what they did because they had an interest in something. But just  like any other goal, passion takes persistence to become successful. Julia Child’s, Mastering the Art of French Cooking took years to write and get published after she started cooking at 40. Walt Wittman didn’t make enough money to buy a house until he was 63 and had published Leaves of Grass several times.

These people didn’t get lucky, they worked hard and eventually had something to show for it. In the same way, we all can achieve a little or a lot in our lives. We might not get rich and famous by the time we’re 30, but honestly, how often should that happen? Your life has just begun at that point. Most people don’t even know who they are until later in life. Passion takes time to recognize and goals take work to succeed. Follow what you love and stick to it. You never know what kind of influence you’ll have.

Never Forget Those Who Helped You

Never forget those who have helped you

Never forget those who have helped you

Andy Core is an expert in Work-Life Balance, Wellbeing, and Peak Human Performance.

Life is a process. Every achievement you experience takes a succession of efforts. Almost nothing is instantly successful, and no matter how hard you try, you cannot achieve any great measure of success entirely on your own.

Every person who is in your life has some role in your achievements. They may be a fuel behind you motivating what not be be or a support system helping you in your journey. Either way, acknowledge the help that people have given you on your way and continue to recognize the people who still are.

Every step of your journey you will be people who have supported you emotionally, financially and physically. They may be personal relationships or they may be motivational speakers.

It is important to show gratitude to those who have helped you along the way. Taking people’s assistance for granted will eventually leave you without anyone’s help. Make sure that people who help you know that their assistance is appreciated and that you are grateful.

Continually remember that other people’s help and influence have contributed to turning you into who you are. You may think you are a self-reliant individual but nobody gets anywhere completely on their own. Never forget to acknowledge the contributions of others, no matter how small.

Plant a Tree and Watch it Grow

Andy Core is an expert in Work-Life Balance, Wellbeing, and Peak Human Performance.

Most people would love to leave a legacy and be remembered long after they are gone. A lot of people will indeed live on in the hearts and memories of their loved ones. Therefore, the seeds you plant today will likely go on for generations after you leave this world.

It has been said that the shade you enjoy today is there because someone planted a tree a long time ago. This is true in both the literal and the metaphorical senses. Nourishing your family tree will help it to grow strong and live on for decades.

Plant the right seeds to improve the future

Plant the right seeds to improve the future

It’s so important that you plant the right seeds, especially when you are a parent or caregiver for a child. You should always try to lead by example and make it possible for others to be positively influenced by you. Be loving and kind, and work hard, but always make time for your family.

Your name may not be remembered in households several generations from now, but the seeds you planted will shape the next generation, which will in turn influence the next, and so on. The way you behave now can make the world a better place, even many, many years down the road.

Change Your Thoughts and Change the World

Andy Core is an expert in Work-Life Balance, Wellbeing, and Peak Human Performance.

You may not feel like a powerful person, but everyone has some power in the world. You have a much greater influence on the people in your lives than you may realize. Your actions and the way you perceive the world can have a major impact.

change your thoughts

You can start to make the world a better place

You may feel like things are going badly, but if you put a positive spin on things, it may not seem so bad after all. Changing your thought process from negative to positive can make a big impact on your life, and on the lives of those around you. If you can help others near you to think more positively, then they can affect the people in their lives as well.

Be more positive, and you will also draw more good energy toward yourself. If everyone would take on a more enlightened way of thinking and acting, the whole world could take on a different attitude. Never say you can’t do something, or make excuses for not doing what you should have.

Instead, embrace your responsibilities and be proud of your accomplishments. And encourage others around you to do the same. Life is what you make it, and by changing your own way of thinking, you can begin to change the world.
