Coffee and green tea can lower risks of stroke

While there have been various studies that have shunned the use of coffee and green tea, the fact is that when consumed in moderation both have the ability to lower risk of stroke. Researchers indicate that people, who consume green tea or coffee instead of the regular sugary artificial beverages, have a lower rate of suffering from a stroke.

Just one cup of coffee a day can reduce your risk of a stroke by 25 percent. Whereas for green tea, around 2 to three cups daily can help to lower your risks by 18 percent and in addition green tea will also reduce your risk of brain hemorrhage by 30 percent.

Apart from that both green tea and coffee have the ability to increase your metabolism and when drank after meals, both will aid in digesting food. Many athletes drink a cup or two of coffee or green tea before their morning workout sessions, on an empty stomach as this habit tends to perk up your energy levels and either of the two can help you focus better and train harder.
