Andy Core is an expert in Work-Life Balance, Well Being and Peak Human Performance.

Professional speaker Andy Core says that if you’ve ever seen Charlie Chaplin’s movie Modern Times, you know just how much the workplace has changed since then. Gone are the days when people were expected to show up, clock in, and work like robots. Today, a good professional speaker like Andy Core knows that it’s vital to assimilate health and wellness as a way of life instead of merely being an after-hours option.

  • Stress can build up quickly in the workplace and every leadership speaker should aim to reduce stress as quickly as possible. Providing access to a registered massage therapist or giving employees vouchers to registered massage spas are an excellent way of physically and immediately lowering stress-related symptoms.
  • Massages are also an effective method of diminishing personal health care costs, as registered massage therapists are adept at spotting injuries and recommending treatment options.
  • Human touch is highly underrated as a way of eliminating anxiety, headaches and soft-tissue injuries.
  • While not intended to replace help from medical professionals, massages can act as a good supplement to other medical services.
  • Different types of massages have different effects. For example, a Swedish massage is used to relax and energize, while deep massages are used to help treat muscles damaged from injuries.

Many people love massages and making them part of the workplace is a fun and easy way to improve workplace health and wellness. Professional speaker Andy Core suggests that you make a few available each week and the lower stress levels will be notable.

Breaking the Cycle of Bad Eating Habits

Andy Core is an expert in Work-Life Balance, Wellbeing, and Peak Human Performance

Everyone knows that human beings are creatures of habit. Whether you form good or bad habits will determine whether you feel fulfilled or left wanting more. The good news is that if you’ve gotten into some bad patterns, habits can always be changed.

If you make it a priority to eat healthy, for example, your body will start to crave those healthy foods. Once you’ve cut out fast foods, sodas, or snack cakes – whatever your weakness may be – you will find yourself thinking about those things less and less.

Make living right a priority, and it will become a positive habit

a positive habit

When you’ve been sitting around watching TV every night, going to the gym may seem like a lot of work. But if you make yourself head there on your way home from the office a couple of nights, you may find that it’s not a hassle at all, and you actually feel a lot better and enjoy it.

If you have made a habit of bringing home stress from work, and your home life has become just as stressful, you can change that too. Just let it go, enjoy the people you love, take your dog for a walk – anything to break that negative pattern.

Some habits, like smoking, can be especially hard to break, but you can do it when you make the decision to better your life. And don’t let one setback send you back to square one. Just because you smoke one cigarette doesn’t mean you have to smoke the whole pack. If you mess up, don’t dwell on it. Get yourself back on track and move on.
