Everyone has felt it at one time or another. The sweaty palms, butterflies in your stomach, or cold perspiration running down your back may all be called by a case of nervousness. Maybe you only get it when you’re going for your first day on a new job.

Whatever the cause for your nervousness, no matter how often you feel it, there are ways to reduce and overcome nervousness. Even though you probably won’t be able to eliminate nervousness from your life completely, you can teach yourself to deal with it in a positive way.

If you find your nervousness crippling, your main problem is probably a lack of self-confidence. Lucky for you, there are ways to boost your self-esteem, chiefly by keeping a positive attitude. When you train your mind to think happy thoughts, you will find that the nervousness will diminish a great deal.

Other good ways to deal with nervousness, when it does occur, are to go for a walk or jog, talk to a trusted friend about why you feel nervous and come up with a plan to deal with it, or look in the mirror and talk yourself up. Again, all these activities are based on thinking positive.

a spouse can keep you honest

The benefits of having a loving spouse are countless. Among these benefits is obviously the effect it can have on your stress levels. If you’ve had a bad day at work, the last thing you need is to come home to someone who will compound the stress. On the other hand, if your spouse is there to love and support you, and maybe act as a sounding board, your stress can be diminished greatly.

A loving spouse will also make you feel confident and good about yourself. And you can return the favor. If you have someone in your life who you can depend on, especially if he or she is in your life daily, you will learn to be a better person as well.

Together, you and a loving spouse can live a better life in general. You can keep each other focused on your goals.

Not only can a loving spouse be there with you to make bad or hard times better, but joy is that much brighter when you have someone to share it with. A loving spouse can help you through trials and tribulations, but he or she can also ramp up the good times into great times.

Boosting Self Confidence for Productivity In the Workplace

Practice at being self-confident.

Andy Core suggests talking to a mirror every morning before starting the day.

Confidence is often a result of individuals putting their focus on their desires instead of what they already have. Mentally, you are in a prison that is constantly giving you reasons why you don’t have what you want. What follows is constant jealousy towards fellow workmates and usually excuses why you aren’t succeeding. At this point, your personality becomes negative and productivity in the workplace suffers..

Embrace Gratitude

Gratitude is one characteristic of self-motivated people that have high levels of productivity in the workplace, which allows for a great impact on self-motivation. If you have trouble feeling grateful or don’t know what it is, take Andy Core’s advice by making a list of your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and past successes; this will shift your focus to the positives of your life.

Make Affirmations

Making affirmations in your mind everyday will often improve your mind-set on life. Andy Core suggests talking to a mirror every morning before starting the day. Through this exercise, your mind will conform to your affirmations and this will generate ways to achieve success. However, the best way to succeed and increase your productivity in the workplace is genuinely to want to create a certain amount of value for your firm.
