Pets Keep You Busy
With time, many things that formally kept you busy start to pass. For instance, your children by now might have moved out of country and are busy living their own lives. Perhaps you retired recently and no longer have a career that kept you occupied and motivated. My pets come in and are this happy ball of energy that wants attention. My dog especially requires attention. Taking care of a pet and sharing your time with one can bring a type of joy; lifting your spirits and kicking your optimism back into gear.
Pets can be good for your physical health. Often with ailments and conditions that are easier to combat if you keep up a healthy lifestyle with activities such as exercise, laughing, eating well, etc. Pets, especially dogs, tend to keep you on your toes, which is a great way to keep yourself active. Moreover, their peculiarities and cute habits will have you laughing throughout the day.
