It’s often said in show business that there are no small parts. Everyone, from the star of the show to the guy who only speaks one line, provides some important part of the story. The same is true of life.
Whether you’re working in a part-time minimum wage job, or you’re the CEO of a large company, you are contributing to your society in one way or another. Everyone has a job to do, and it’s your duty to do your job.
Don’t waste time feeling like you can’t do enough to make things better. After all, any small thing you do to contribute is better than doing nothing at all. Even if you can only afford a little bit of time or money, yours could be the little bit that pushes a project over the edge into success.
And if you’re working toward a personal or professional goal of your own, doing something, even if you’re too tired to do it all at once, will still get you closer to that goal. So put back a few dollars when that’s all you can spare, and spend 15 minutes at the gym if that’s all you can fit in today, and know that it’s better than nothing.
