There’s plenty of literature on how to maintain your well being successfully, but are you aware of some of the ways you may be sabotaging your efforts? Professional speaker Andy Core has learned from his bad habits and has a few tips to share.
Not Eating As Healthy As You Can As Often As You Can
No matter if you’re feeling like you’re on top of the world or sick as a dog, try to maintain your heating habits. Of course, if you’ve have the flu, go easy, but it’s still no reason to indulge in fatty and sugary foods 24/7 during that period. Research has shown that as long as you can hold the food down when you’re sick, you’re fine to eat it.
Drinking Too Heavily
Red wine has been shown to lower the risks of heart disease… but not at several glasses a day. Examine your reasons for drinking and try not to go overboard. As a professional speaker, waking up hung over keeps you from being your best and also makes you feel less motivated to stick to your normal and healthy habits.
Ignoring Your Body’s Sleep Needs
Just because you’re an adult now doesn’t mean that you automatically get a free pass on a good night’s sleep. Adults typically need 7-9 hours of sleep per night, only a little less than their teenage selves.
By learning from the mistakes of a professional speaker, you can much more easily maintain your usual high standard of well being.
