Size of your fist, deck of cards, ounces, grams, liters, etc. It is hard to know how much you are really eating. And knowing is important.
The fastest way to lose fat and maintain a high energy level is to ensure you are eating the right foods in the right quantities. While it is hard to know which foods are the good, bad and the ugly, that pales in comparison to the challenge of knowing how many calories, grams of protein, fats and carbohydrates you are actually eating.
I came across a great article by Laura Anderson, M.S., R.D. from the Olympic Training Center. While this article is geared toward coaches, it is great info for us, the crazy busy generation (anyone who works hard).
My favorite part is the easily memorized icons she uses to teach us how to know when enough is enough. Great stuff, give it a look!
