Every now and then, we all have those moments where we delve into ourselves to discover and explore new sources of motivation and inspiration. What exactly is inspiration? What is motivation? Are the two the same or is there any solid distinction that lies between the two expressions? Though you’ll find that the words are often used interchangeably, there certainly exists a difference between the two terms.
Inspiration is something that usually will instigate you to broaden your horizons of imagination, creativity and surpass known and set boundaries of conventionality, conformity. It is something that has the tendency to make you candidly embrace what would otherwise be considered as impractical realities and propel you to find ways to achieve it. Inspiration is what consequently leads to motivation. Motivation is what will revive your vanishing drive and consequently pushes you to work on yourself harder. So by challenging you to work on yourself motivation as a result brings about immense personal growth.
Inspiration is the spark you need to get you to move, whilst motivation is the push to get you started on what you plan on pursuing. So this year, dig in, dig in deep and find that very inspiration that will motivate you and help you achieve what you have been inspired to achieve.
