It’s nice to have plans, and even recommended in most situations, but when a plan goes wrong, you have to be able to think on your feet, and change courses if necessary. Life doesn’t always cooperate with what you wanted to do, so you have to be prepared.
If you aren’t paying attention to your own life, you may miss some important things. Life continues to go on, and time keeps ticking away, whether you’re paying attention or not. Don’t let life pass you by while you wait for the right time to do something, or while you’re working and missing your family.
Every minute that passes is a minute that you’ll never get back, so don’t routinely spend hours doing unimportant things. Work hard, but take time to leave work behind and enjoy yourself and spend time with family.
Don’t miss out on the good things, like your kids growing up, or summer days at the beach. But you also have to make sure you don’t miss something going wrong that will cause you trouble later. Make sure you are living your life, and not just passing the time without really participating in the things that matter.
