When life is going well, it can be tempting to “toot your own horn.” You can be proud of your accomplishments, but don’t forget about the people who have helped you along the way, and those who continue to help you now.
No matter how hard you’ve worked to get where you are today, you can’t do it alone. There are always helping hands along the way, and people who have given you resources, worked alongside you, or just offered moral support when it was needed.
To those who have assisted you in one way or another, don’t forget to say thanks. Give credit where credit is due. You would likely not appreciate being overlooked after doing someone else a favor or working hard on a project, so you owe it to others to let them know they are appreciated.
Never forget about the help you’ve been given. It is through a great number of experiences that you have become who you are. You may depend a great deal on others or consider yourself to be very independent. Either way, you haven’t lived life completely alone, and it’s a good idea to recognize that.
