If work is stressing you out, it can be very difficult to leave all that stress when you leave the office. However, it is so unhealthy for your relationships to take out that anger and frustration on your family.
If you can’t get work off your mind during the drive home, try stopping at the gym or taking a run to exercise away some of your stress before facing your spouse or family. There is no reason to treat the ones you love badly, especially when they aren’t the source of your stress.
This doesn’t mean you can’t talk to your loved ones about what’s bothering you at work. It can be helpful to get your stresses off your chest so that you can move on rather than holding it in and letting the stress grow. You may find that after you talk about it, it doesn’t seem so bad, and you can forget about it and enjoy your time at home.
Sometimes your family can also help you find a suitable course of action to reduce your stress at work. After all no one knows you better than the people who live with you.
