When tragedy strikes, it can be hard to stay calm. When someone makes you angry, it may be almost impossible to keep from lashing out. However, when bad things happen, the best thing you can do is to try and remain calm.
If you can control your emotions and act rationally, the outcome will almost always be better than if you allow yourself to get out of control. Flying off the handle now may make you feel better for a moment, but you are far more likely to do something you’ll regret.
Try to maintain a calm persona overall and you will likely be able to better control yourself in the event of an unsettling incident. Some people are naturally more short-tempered than others, and you may need to train yourself to keep a calmer profile.
Everyone will have an outburst from time to time, and if you do, you must forgive yourself and move on. However, by remaining calm and rationally plotting out your next move, you will probably find yourself in a better situation in the end than you would have if you had acted out of frustration.
