A business motivational speaker says to schedule your life and give yourself something to which you can look forward. With endless hours, days upon days of working, it’s good to set events in your calendar that aren’t work related: a sort of incentive to go on with your every day life work life. You have to balance your days so that you know when it’s time to work and when it’s time for yourself. Continuous work where it gets to the point that it feels like “today’s like yesterday and tomorrow will be another today” is counterproductive. Even if you are focused on your work, it gets monotonous and you won’t be 100% into it. To get your motivation to work back into gear, a business motivational speaker says to schedule your life.
Set dates for personal activities. It’s not good if you look at a calendar and visualize the word “work” scribbled onto every weekday’s block. There should be blocks that have personal activities on them like “Watch a movie” or “Play baseball with the kids.” Like a high school student crossing out the dates, every X getting closer to the encircled “Christmas Vacation starts! No school!” you should have something awaiting for you as well. These special days are goals in a way, something to be excited about when a day ends.
Limit unproductive activities. Don’t waste too many days lounging around your house. Those days are necessary, but it won’t get you anywhere. Go out and do stuff instead of spending hours at the computer. Why meet people on a social networking website when you can meet them in real life? If you’re going to laze away, you might as well do it at a park.
When your life is in order, when there is a line between work and life, you will find that you are more productive, as work isn’t the only thought that you have; a more positive way to live. Follow the words of the business motivational speaker and you will find that progress isn’t exclusive to the workplace.
